Oak and Willow prides itself on the quality it delivers in each jar of honey produced, and as such..is proud to partner with Foodland Ontario for fresh, Ontario produced honey with all the traceability and food safety practices we expect for our own family. In addition, our all natural, pure local honey is single apiary sourced; meaning any jar of honey with the Oak and Willow label is guaranteed to have been produced right here at our apiary in Eastern Ontario. As we harvest in small batches, you will see each jar of our premium honey has a batch # on the label. This batch # is not only our quality freshness guarantee, when cross referenced below, your batch # will tell you which nectar sources make up your particular jar of honey. You may be surprised to learn how the different nectar sources produce such amazingly tasting honey (My personal favorite is late June honey). Never heated or pasteurized; our RAW honey retains all the natural taste, aroma, local pollen, and propolis it has been produced with. It is for this reason, our RAW honey offers the following healthful properties. *antibacterial action *wound-healing effects *dietary antioxidants *ant-inflammatory effects As such; our natural, RAW honey is strained, NOT filtered. RAW, UNFILTERED honey contains the antioxidants and nutrients, natural enzymes, probiotics, pollens, propolis and waxes that filtered honey does not contain. At a glance, your UNFILTERED honey may contain small traces of pollen or wax. Please enjoy this extra little gift from nature.
